“They knew our big party was coming. Our waitress seemed to have too many tables plus us. Way too much time to get drinks, take our orders, and get our food. Dinner turned out to be a 2+hour ordeal.”

“Greeted immediately by the friendly host. Received excellent service from our waiter Melton. We ordered a house salad with bleu cheese dressing, a supreme pizza, and the crispy chicken pesto sandwich with fries and onion rings. All of the food came out hot and fresh and was delicious. We are out of towners but would be regulars if we lived here. We will come back when we visit the state park again.Parking: Parking easily accessible from front and back of restaurant (can enter restaurant from the patio out back).”

“I’ve driven past this winery probably 100 times since I was a little kid but I finally was able to stop in this weekend. I had such a fun time doing the wine tasting with my friend there! Will definitely be back. The owner is super knowledgeable and very kind, able to answer any questions you have.”

“Cannot say enough great things about BullDocks! Thought we'd give this local restaurant a try for our anniversary, and they did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great, our server Ava was spot on, and the food!! Oh my! Steaks were cooked to perfection. Homemade rolls melted in your mouth. Fresh salad and veggies, and wonderful sides. The chef makes your plate to order, and he is phenomenal. We split the lemon blueberry cheesecake (even though we were stuffed and couldn't finish our entrees.) Wow! We have finally found our local restaurant and I can't wait to go back.”

“First time visiting this establishment and the food was out of this world and I observed the other patrons food also as it was being brought to them and it looks scrumptious as well! Very nice menu, decent prices and a nice place to go and eat and talk with your friends. The service was pretty good. I do recommend.Parking: There was plenty of parking spaces just outside of the restaurant in a parking lot but then also up stairs there was another parking lot”

“Giacomo makes one of the best pizzas in the Roanoke area. Tony Avelino on electric gives them a run for their money. Lol as it owned by the same people. There's a competition between who makes the better pizza. Both are spectacular. New York Pizza has been a staple and Roanoke for, at least 15 years. And I'm still waiting on the new seating area lol. The atmosphere is exactly what a New York Pizzaria should be. Great place with great people. You won't be disappointed.”

“Great reasonable cafe for lunch. I've gotten their soup and 1/2 salad, sandwhich and salad add on. The cranberry walnut salad was great- lots of toppings. The loaded potato and taco soup are really good. I had a turkey club one time also. Coffee drinks are good. You can eat outside if you want facing the water or inside. Free wifi. The cheesecake desserts are great, and I had a sugar cookie once too. Reasonable price.”

“Only reason I didn't give the atmosphere a 5 star is because of the smoky air in the restaurant. The large round grill is great but there is not adequate ventilation in the building to keep your clothes from smelling like the food. Everything else is great!!!!”

Went out for my dad’s birthday recently and continue to frequent this location throughout the season at the lake. “If you love cheesecake, VISIT. THIS. PLACE. Fresh cheesecake, not too dense but not too light, and great flavors. I bought 3 slices to take home and was planning to serve them to guests, but they didn't make it- they got devoured well before our guest arrived. The service was also prompt and friendly. A family member is supposed to stop by today and is traveling from the SML area- I really hope they are bringing cheesecake from SML coffee house with them!”

“A lovely little ice cream shop next to the water, they had a verity of flavors. The place was clean and the employees were professional. And I liked the Cow print painted in the cabinets.I was treated kindly, they made us feel welcome.”

“A cute little place set off the road, they have a drive thru and an inside cafe. The people were friendly, the place was adorable, and the coffee was great! They also have breakfast + lunch sandwiches and fresh baked desserts, scones, and Friday is donut day! Thank you to the nice lady who recommended we get an iced latte with brown sugar cinnamon and salted caramel syrup, it’s SO good! I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town! Check this place out if you’re driving by.”

“Love this new place for Homestead Creamery ice cream! The staff are always very friendly, but I think sometimes overwhelmed with the volume of customers! However, that does not deter us from going there regularly! The interior decor is cheerful and bright! Favorite flavors include espresso chip, Hokie tracks, lemon crunch and peanut butter cookies and cream! Haven't tried their hot dogs.”

“Took my four year old here for the first time two weeks ago. We had the deep dish Sicilian and by gosh was it delish! It was an experience we won’t forget. Between the quality of the food and the service, Mr. Juan turned first time customers into customers for life ? We finished our dine in experience with a chocolate milk shake to go. A little on the pricy side but oh so mouth watering!”

“Visited with friends on a getaway weekend. We purchased many of the alpaca products and ate ice cream sundaes (the best ice cream, I can remember ever having eaten in my life! seriously!). We enjoyed some great music while we sat outside and had the ice cream lunch. It was a lovely time and I hope I find myself in the area to visit again.”

“We ordered a large Supreme pizza from here. The pizza crust was really tough towards the outer edges and the toppings were at least 3" to 4" in from the start of the crust edge. The toppings were fresh but used sparingly and there was barely enough cheese and not much pizza sauce. The overall taste was alright but the price for what we received was excessive.”

“I visited and explored a flight of their dry reds. The Trevini was a simple wine which is very approachable by the novice. The chambourcin was a very complex wine giving way to notes of an apple and plum pie cooked in a woodfired oven. The cabernet franc yields notes of banana laffy taffy and tuity fruity with a finish of vanilla. The Robusto gives characters of smoked meats with a finish of cherry. It was an overall great experience.”

“What an exceptional experience!!Peanut butter, jalepeno jelly, smoked bacon, amazing cheese and cheese steamed veggies!!Then add on a “flight sample” of jar desserts/ key lime pie, chocolate cookie and Milky Way heaven!!But the best part? “The food was really good. We went there off season. But the servers seemed a little lost. It got busy pretty quickly. And they lost who was their tables. The biggest issue was people smoking everywhere. We did sit outside, so it is on us a little. But overall, definitely check them out.”
